READING HISTORY THROUGH THE EYES OF RELIGION: Prof. Thomas McIntire, Professor of History and Religion in the University of
Toronto and Fellow of Victoria College, Toronto. He was Senior Member in
Philosophy of History and Historiography at the Institute for Christian
Studies from 1973 to 1984. His 500-page book, Herbert Butterfield:
Historian as Dissenter, was published by Yale last year. Respondents:
