An Invitation

We invite you to apply to become a participant in the ART in Orvieto program. Please carefully review the information on this website. Please also take special note of the descriptions of the Seminar on Art, Religion, and Theology and the Artists’ Studio Residency. These units are the heart of the program.

We are looking for people to apply who can see themselves flourishing in the program in Orvieto.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a maximum capacity for this program. Any additional applicants will be put on our waitlist. Our waitlist will close the same day as our application deadline: MARCH 31.

Please complete the application form at the bottom of this page and email as indicated in the form.

Early Bird applicants will be eligible to receive a $500CAD Ruth and Inès Memorial Scholarship for Artistic Education. Eight (8) of these scholarships will be available on a first come first served basis to applicants who submit a complete ART in Orvieto application no later than the March 31 deadline. Visit the Fees page to find out more about this and other available financial aid for ART in Orvieto.

Applications will be prioritized by order of the date they are received. Applicants for admission to the seminar plus the studio residency will be prioritized over applicants to only either the seminar or the studio residency.

All applicants will be notified of their admission status as soon as adjudication is complete after the final application deadline, by April 15 at the latest. Applicants will be asked to confirm their participation in the program by April 30.

Participants will be expected to pay all program fees by May 15.

The Seminar on Art, Religion, and Theology is for graduate students who take the seminar for credit, or adult learners who wish to join the program on a not-for-credit (audit) basis.

Artists’ Studio Residency serves people who are artists or who aspire to become artists or who want to make artistic practice an important part of their life. The application asks for a sample of your work and a brief statement of what you propose to be working on while in Orvieto.
